Package 2 vs Package 3: what is in a kit?

Almost every bar in the catalogue exists in more than one version. The aluminium frame is the same for each machine model, but what is mounted and wired on it before it leaves the factory differs. That difference is the package level, and you can read it straight from the article number.

Reading the article number

The factory's article numbers follow a base-plus-suffix pattern, for example 110020-23: 110020 identifies the bar, the suffix identifies the package. Across the price data and component lists we have processed, the pattern is consistent: -13 is the bare bar with clamps and no lighting, -23 is Package 2, -33 is Package 3, and -RAIL marks a variant for rail-road machines. One honest caveat: this is observed semantics. It holds across the entire range we have catalogued, but formal confirmation from the factory is still pending. That is why every product page also states the package level explicitly.

What Package 2 contains

Package 2 is the volume seller: a complete, factory pre-wired lighting kit on the bar. In the component lists this typically means LED flashlights (two or four, depending on the model), position lights in white, orange and/or red, and the mounting hardware the model needs: clamps, and on some models brackets or mounting plates for work lights. The exact configuration differs per machine model; the lighting table on each product page is taken directly from the manufacturer's component list, so what you see there is what is on the bar.

What Package 3 adds

Package 3 is Package 2 plus an LED light bar (in the lists we have processed typically a 210 W unit), mounted on the bar and included in the factory wiring. In practice that is the package for machines that genuinely work in the dark: night shifts, winter service, early-season fieldwork. If your machine mostly runs daylight hours and the flashlights are what you are after, Package 2 covers it. (That last bit is our general advice, not a manufacturer specification.)

Bare bars and special variants

The bare -13 version suits owners who already have lighting they want to move over, or who run their own light setup. Painted versions and colour variants also appear in the range; where a finish applies, it is listed on the product page. The RAIL variants follow the same package logic but are built for rail-road machines; if that is your use case, ask us to confirm the details for your specific machine before ordering.
